Summertime Super Fruit Smoothie Bowl

This dragon fruit (pitaya) smoothie bowl featuring banana, kiwi, grapes, pineapple, and mango, is full of tropical flavors making it the perfect super fruit treat for summertime.

Ingredients

For the Smoothie Bowl Base:

dragon fruit aka pitaya (frozen)3.5 oz 100 g 1 smoothie pack or 10-12 cubes
pineapple (frozen)3.5 oz 100 g just under 1/2 cup
coconut water4.2 fl oz 119 g 1/2 cup
honey0.7 oz 20 g 1 tablespoon
banana (frozen)1.4 oz 40 g half a small banana
mango (frozen)2.7 oz 77 g 1/2 cup

For Toppings:

kiwi1.5 oz 43 g 1/2 of a fruit
grapes1.5 oz 43 g small handful
mango (fresh)1 oz 28 g 1/6 to 1/4 of a fruit
honey0.25 oz 7 g 1/2 tablespoon
granola2.5 oz 71 g 3/4 cup
shredded coconut1 oz 28 g 1/3 cup

Directions

  1. To make the smoothie bowl base, add all base ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth, about one minute. Spread into a bowl.

  2. Peel, dice or half the fruit topping ingredients. Layer the fruit on top of the smoothie bowl base.

  3. Sprinkle the shredded coconut and drizzle the honey over the bowl.

Pro Tip

  • If frozen dragon fruit (pitaya) is not available, you can swap out for frozen acai. For best results, be sure to source a nutrient dense premium product, like the super fruits from Pitaya Foods.
