Healthy Cherry Limeade with Beet & Apple Juice
The bright flavors of lime and green apple perfectly compliment the slightly tart cherry juice in this special recipe.
Ingredients
cherries (pitted) | 4.2 oz | 119 g | 1/2 cup cherries |
lime | 1.3 oz | 37 g | 1 small lime |
green apple | 7.8 oz | 221 g | 1 1/6 medium apple |
red apple | 4.8 oz | 136 g | 2/3 medium apple |
cucumber | 1 oz | 28 g | 1/10 cucumber |
red beet | 0.3 oz | 9 g | 1/3 beet |
nugget ice | 1 cup | enough to fill your glass |
Directions
-
Wash produce thoroughly, scrubbing the beet to remove the dirt. Remove the top end of the beet.
-
Weigh out the ingredients.
-
Quarter the lime (leaving skin on) and place directly into the press. If you don’t have a juice press, peel the lime and juice with the rest of the ingredients.
-
Grind the remaining ingredients together and press.
-
Put a straw in a tall glass, fill with nugget ice and add the juice.
-
Garnish with a cherry and two lime wedges (optional).
Pro tips
-
You can use fresh or previously frozen pitted cherries, I used frozen and just let them thaw before I juiced them.
-
You should be able to purchase nugget ice (aka sonic ice) from a local franchise fast food joint. I was able to purchase a 10 lb bag from my local Sonic for $2.27.
