cayenne pepper (ground) | 1/4 tsp | small pinch | |

Directions

Peel the lemons.

Juice the lemon, ginger, and apple together.

Whisk the ground cayenne pepper and maple syrup into the juice.

Portion into 2 ounce servings.

Don’t have a juicer? Combine the ingredients in the blender and pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. Push the pulp against the mesh strainer with the back of a spoon to squeeze as much liquid as possible.

Prefer a milder ginger flavor? Peel the ginger before juicing/blending.

If you like (or don’t mind) the taste of turmeric, add that in as well! It has many health benefits, but can sometimes be a bit hard to take due to the overwhelmingly earthy and bitter flavor, so I would recommend to add sparingly until you grow used to the taste.
